The Hylian Army is Useless

So I've been playing the hell out of Hyrule Warriors Legends, and I've noticed a few things that have made me dislike Hylian culture even more than I already do.  First of all, I'm not very far into this game, I just beat Skyloft, so this is some bullshit that is already coming up, and I can't imagine that I'm far enough to experience the maximum amount of bullshit Hyrule has to offer.  Secondly, this is not an issue with the game, but with Hylian culture itself.

This army is a joke.  Everyone is useless except for me.  Every two goddamn seconds someone is yelling at me to do something, which is fine, because I've been playing Link, and I'm aware of the fact that I'm a soldier, and the chosen one.  I'm serving under a queen leading an army, so I'm obviously not adverse to fighting.  But why am I the ONLY competent soldier in this entire goddamn army?  These people were bitching at me to protect an engineer to build a bridge, a GIANT-ass bomchu, and a base all at the same time.

Bitch.

Am I wielding the Picori Blade?  No?  Then how the fuck am I gonna be in three places at the same time?  Logistically, physically, via the laws of nature, how the hell am I supposed to do this?  I get that I'm the chosen one but Impa and you are both here so it seems like, if there are three things that need doing, instead of bitching at me to do everything, you ask each of your commanders to do one thing.  That way, instead of me having to third-ass three things, I can whole-ass one thing, and we can actually get some shit done.

But the biggest issue I have with this army, and with Hylians in general, I learned from everyone's favorite demon, the Fabulous Lord Ghirahim.

So I'm trying to kill Ghirahim, and I figure it might be easier, because I'm using a normal control scheme that doesn't rely on me, a fat nerd, actually knowing how to sword fight.  But then he pops up at the bottom of the screen and tells me that he's mind controlled my troops, and we can all fight among ourselves until we kill each other.

Ok, first of all, is that a thing he can do?  I don't remember that being a thing in Skyward Sword.  In fact, if he had mind control abilities, why the hell not just use them on Link?  And get him to NOT kill Demise in the Imprisoned stage?  Like...  Ghirahim's cocky and annoying and WAY TOO FUCKING GOOD AT KILLING ME, but he's not stupid.

But let's just say that that's a power that makes sense for him to have.  My first thought was, "Oh so I have to find a way to reverse/stop the mind control spell".

Nope.

Little beacons appeared on the map with the locations of my commanders who turned traitor, with instructions to seek them out and kill them.  So the Hylian army has no concept whatsoever of a court marshal, the punishment for treason is instant execution.  This is true even if you are under a demonic spell and your general is aware of this fact.  No mercy.  No excuses.
